50sKid

Sorry about the delay in posting the next video, guys. I'm waiting on more parts to arrive. I reassembled half the engine, realized I had one wrong gasket so needed to wait for a replacement, and also needed to get a used alternator from a junkyard, so I got all that and then continued reassembling the engine and then paused to shoot the video on replacing the valley pan gasket and discovered the crank case ventilation hoses were all deteriorated so I've had to buy a kit for that and now I'm waiting again. Delays, delays. Should have a video by next weekend!

Np. I'm sure it will be worth the wait. I just found your videos in the last month and am so glad you're continuing to make them. Btw, about a month ago is when I bought an '02 325 w/ 130k and " all it needs is an oil change and to have the powersteering pump, which is in the trunk, put in." Yeah, right! First off, wrong pump and then the codes, the codes, the codes.... Being a widowed woman of a certain age, I've been screwed enough by shade tree mechanics that now I don't trust anyone but myself. I got the right pump/ installed it, replaced the fuel pump & filter, oil & filter change, plugs & coil packs, hood supports replaced. So far I've managed to clear all but one code - P0741. Currently I have my pressure regulator valve in the freezer just waiting on my torque converter to come in,, will also be replacing Trans filter & gasket. And just in case there's a bunch of oil in my bell housing, I also have a rear main seal ready to go. That oils got to be going somewhere, and after watching your video on changing the oil pan gasket I'm kinda hoping it's the rear main seal. Crazy, I know, but that looked intimidating. Your videos have been a huge help. Thank you.

@MotogiantTL

No problem brother! The delay is the result of you being Thorough! A lot of guys get impatient and either overlook things or do some McGeiver stuff that ends up with them tearing everything apart again. I told a guy I worked with he better replace the alternator bracket seal when he was digging into his N62...3 weeks later...We know how that story goes!

The least I can say is that you are a true asset to this community! I can inquire, research and discover...but in the end I can rely on you being accurate and factual. I need you more and more as I maintain these 3 e83 daily drivers that are 200k plus. Thank you for your service!

No problems. Like others have said, I have rebuilt my Zf5hp19 box and done many other jobs on my e46 330 and I must have watched all your e46 videos many times over. Usually stopping mid job to call up the relevant vid !

Thx for your videos! They are an awesome help! How do we install the small green o rings in the oil filter? We bought 2 Pn 11427549573_2 for a 2001 325i. Did we buy the wrong ones? Do they stretch a lot?

Hey man i watch alot of your video tutorials and have helped me save thousands of dollars. I just want to thank you for everything you do!!! I have a quick question for you. So recently I tried to start my other e46 that just sits and whenever I tried to start it everything just stopped working completely no electricity whatsoever no beeps when you open the door. I mean no dash lights no nothing like no lights come on when you open the door. I checked my battery terminals and they were fine and whenever I looked in the engine bay after it happened I noticed smoke coming from the starter

I was given a 03 bmw x5 4.4i. I took the engine out and put new piston rings, head gasket, valves, lefters, and timing chain. Before putting back in, I spun it 2 full rotations. I connected it to the transmission torque converter spins freely but my engine won't. Any ideas was could be wrong.
