Akai is doing awesome things for the producer community this year! Add a MPK Mini controller and you're all set to create music. I love Andy's tutorials on the Akai YouTube page. He makes some bangers.

Good for Akai and I guess more free DAW options are nice for people. I figure their plan is to just get people into the workflow to sell hardware. But like I said more free music making tools is always a good thing 👍

it tells me that The future of MPC software is going to have some nice surprises considering all of that is free.

If it keeps running.. the program shuts down my computer and makes it restart

My vote is "Dunno". I presume it's an MPC gateway but would it eat into Ableton's market? I've no need for it myself as I record DAW-free.

Too soon to tell. It feels a bit redundant in my case. (Do I need more software that does the same thing???) Some weird work flow issues and some crashing but it's still new. I did notice you can export to MPC 1k. That might be the business there. Chopping on pc, performing on hardware.
