Success! I ordered 2 OLED model Nintendo Switch consoles so that I can compare the screens! You all know I can’t help but jump in on this one!

I will be talking about my findings with these screens: pentile vs RGB stripe, calibration, etc.

I anticipate, just like with my OLED Vita, that the contrast ratio of OLED is going to make things much more immersive, but expect already saturated greens and reds in some games to look VERY green and red. Like neon.

Most things will look nice, punchy and really grab your attention, making the experience more memorable, which is GREAT if you mostly play handheld like me. But then you will play games like Stardew Valley and feel a bit ill from the oversaturation.

I want one pretty badly... And thinking of getting one as soon as possible just so I get my hands on one... But honestly, when I hear about an upgraded screen or anything about screen quality... The first thing I think of is - What will Erica Griffin have to say about this? I better wait to see her deep dive on this one! Seriously the first thing I thought of when I heard of the OLED switch... Was how you did the comparison with the screen quality on the previous switch revision... And thank you so much for that because I didn't end up buying one- having never seen one in person I would have been pretty disappointed to open it up and see a green hue on everything I'm playing! I wanted it better battery life but not the expensive of visuals.

Looking forward to the screen comparison video! I was able to pre-order a White OLED model from Gamestop! I'll probably buy the black dock model at a later date. Just to have both lol.
