Finn Iles

I got the new Hero 8 everyone was asking for in comments from my POV of Powerslave! Only smooth POV from here on out.
What mount do you want me to shoot with for the video dropping Tuesday?

I couldn't get the chin mount sorted for today, but I'm definitely going to look into trying that out for upcoming POVs. Thanks for the feedback!

From a viewing perspective, i think under the chin and under the visor mounts get the best footy. I could be wrong, but those seem the best to me

@Skogmtb

Awesome, was hoping you would do that 👍

Helmet mount under the chin 100%. It has the best stability, it’s the best view, it’s not so annoying to wear like a chest mount bc they make breathing more difficult. But you would have to wear a full face helmet for the chin mount

Even with a gimble helmet footage is still better, it gives a better perspective and you don't miss the trail because of the handlebars, also the helmet footage is more comfortable and your head acts like a gimble, it makes the trail look closer to reality as well.

Helmet is by far the best, unless you are using a chest gimbal. Unless you are not (probably for comfort) you should go with the head mount, much more stable.

check out my latest video for some perspective on what mounting a Hero 8 to the chin of a fox rampage RPC looks like. You can zip tie the 'tall' mount for the gropro right into the mouth vent in the helmet, works perfectly!

Head mount for the hero 8 and mount the other gopro on you bike or something for some cool shots.

If you put a full face on the chin mount is the best looking angle by far to my opinion

Someone following you with a follow cam would be rad too...sometimes we want to see the whole rider shredding trails, not just their hands and a view of the trail ;)

@jamesbailey2213

Chin mount on full face, or if your riding half helmet then ride with a chesty.

Under the helmet visor if it’s a full face

Both. Mix it up for a sick edit

Chin bar is BY FAR the best! Chest mount doesn't convey ANY steepness..and is a little less stable. All the cool people are chin bar mounting....lol

@Jon-nz3dm

Either chest or chin mount. Gotta have the bars in the view. Top helmet mount is okay sometimes but I’d have to say chest for sure if you can’t get the chin mount sorted yet. It’s just weird to me seeing someone go through a trail without actually seeing any of the bike in the shot.
