I recently picked up a bottle of Pro-Dope. My question #1, is aren't most of the thread sealants all the same? I purchased this in one of the big box stores to re do my pool connections (pic). BUT after reading the labeling on the bottle of this "Pro_Dope", it says good for Brass, Copper, Steel, Stainless Steel, Iron and CPVC. There is no mention of PVC. My question #2 is was this intentional by the mfg leaving pic off the labeling because of testing difficulties, or just an oversight. Reason, there is a difference in pvc and cpvc. So what's your spin on this issue of labeling?

Hello Bob, I have a question about my drain pipe from my garage utility sink. The pipe coming out of the wall to the main drain is corroded. I was thinking of cutting the pipe off from the wall and leaving maybe an inch and attaching ABS pipe then attaching it to the drain pipe that goes to the sewer. I wanted to start with that pipe because I know it's so badly corroded. All the other pipes under the sink like the P-trap and the one on the inside of the wall going out the wall are old cast iron that I really don't want to mess with at the moment. Is this a good start and if so, will the ABS work? Or PVS? Thank you, Marie

Good morning. I have an issue with my steam boiler heating. I’m getting a large banging in my pipes. Louder than usual . I was told that I need to bleed my radiators. I also want to know is it possible that my automatic water feeder is dispensing out too much water into the lines

We call the company who does renovations and remodeling on our home usually. At this time I am remodeling a third floor bathroom (slowly) and wanted to ask you about the no hub coupling. I have to convert my drain pipe from 1 1/2 inch to 2 inches for shower only. I cannot find any 2" pipe on the third floor to tap into. One video suggested using the no hub coupling to transition to 2". What is your opinion.
