Question: I live in southern Ohio. We bearly have a fall season as we go from 90 degrees to 50 within a matter of days. How do I plan to grow things before my first frost in October 15th if I have to plant things while it's so extreme?

I thought I did a good job fertilizing my sweet potatoes this year but they turned out the size of fingerling potatoes 🤦‍♀️ Any advice? Note: I also grew them in grow bags

Question: I live in Texas and started my zucchini squash back in May. Started my garden late I know but my plants grew and finally started to developer fruit but then it would just die off. Any ideas as to what's happening??? I'm a first time gardener and learning but just can't figure out this one. I've tried hand pollinating when the few would get big enough to have open flowers. I've given them plant food 🤷 super frustrating. I have ripped out a few and am growing some fresh plants for the fall. Thanks any help would be greatly appreciated. Love watching your videos

Super excited! Here is my question: we live in Central Louisiana and grow all year long. I have gazillions of Fennel growing most of the year, as a host plant for butterflies. They get as tall as 7 feet plus. More come every year by either sprouting back from old plants or the prolific self seeding. As much as I love them for their beauty, scent, and polinator friendliness - I want to grow some fat delicious edible fennel bulbs! Please advise! I have read that you need to plant as a cool season crop. Is there a variety best for big bulbs? Tell me everything! I love you guys!!! <3

Thank you! I live in the north of Portugal, in a farm without frost and temperatures rarely droping below 0ºC (32ºF). I bought Kyoto Red Carrot seeds from Rare Seeds but even in winter they get very thin and not soft at all. I usualy sow them in october. Any sugestion on the best month to sow them? Thank you :-)

Is pest pressure really intense when attempting to grow an early fall crop of tomatoes? I have a second round of indeterminates at about rib height, trained cordon. Do tomato hornworms fade out after a while or continue until frost?

I tried to use biochar and I’m not sure if I did it wrong but the part of the bed without it did better!! Any thoughts?

A question for both Shannie and Nicole. Have either of you used any type of a bio-stimulant product? If Shannie remembers her Jeffrey Smith interview two years ago, towards the end Jeffrey mentioned a guy [Michael Smith, a former NASA engineer] who developed a product that 'greened up' plants within about a half hour after application. That claim got my immediate attention. I did some research, found Micheal and we chatted via facebook messenger about his product(s) called REGENiSYS® Organics. I've used the product this year and OMG - I'll never grow anything without it! My Brad's Atom Grapes look like Amish paste, my Amish pastes look like Better Boys in size and the Bonnie's Best look like Belgium Giants - I've never seen anything like this. And the flavors...like nothing I've tasted before - just awesome flavor profiles! Production is outstanding too. We had a record breaking July with temps above 90+ and the garden plants thrived, which I've never witnessed in such heat - even the Purple Bok Choy and tatsoi did okay in that heat. The only thing I did differently this growing season was the addition of using REGENiSYS® Organics during seed sowing or transplanting. NOTE: I don't have any financial incentive or otherwise in mentioning REGENiSYS® Organics - I just like to share with other gardeners what I've found when using any product or method. Stay safe - be well.
