Ironically, the "fansub style" actually strikes me as much more professional-looking.

I feel that fansubs actually make the content more appealing. In live-streams people tend to stutter/pause a lot since they aren't following any scripts, and this makes traditional subtitling sort of awkward since you either have to repeat or omit certain words. Fansubs, on the other hand, is a lot more flexible in such scenarios, and with some good editting you can play it to your advantage. As for the colouring, I think it's better to distinguish the two(or more)colours, even if it means diverting from the "standard" character colour. Just my two cents.

I like Fansubs better. On the previous video it seems like the white are kinda blueish on some screen. That's why some people have a hard time reading the subs. Maybe for kanata you can use yellow/dark blue when paired with suisei. Anyway I love your subs, thank you for providing us with amazing content :D

In my opinion, fansub looks better. Broadcast style just feels to me like it isn't special or unique. Like it's just another piece of generic subtitled content on TV, while the fansub style gives more character and gives you the ability to be more flexible and creative.

I mean, for some reason it's ingrained to my mind that the color you used for Kanata's in that clip fits more for Sui-chan. Like just by character design and their color palettes, Kanata's would be a more light blue of sorts while Sui-chan would be a more primary blue, if that makes sense

fansub style looks better but the colors could defo be more distinct, maybe make the text itself slightly yellow for ppt and keep the borders?

I've always loved fansub style! Personally it wasn't a problem but I can see how people could get the subs mixed up since they're both blue

If it's broadcast style, it's better be put in CC in my opinion. I kind of like when people can trigger whether they want to see it raw or with subs.

The broadcast style is too small for mobile user like me. But if u can resize them either is good.

The Fansub style is way better in both style and speaker clarity. so definitely don't change to the Broadcast one! just alter the colors a bit if they cause issues for the specific video (I'm guessing the complain was about both having similar colored lines, then broadcast style is way worse, so maybe just make sure all outlines are different enough shades when they're interacting with someone that has the same general color on their fansubs)

I prefer Fansub style, aside from the "professional look" of the broadcast, It looks too dull to me, to be honest...

I could honestly go for either of the two but one thing is that the broadcast style background being a solid black is kinda distracting I guess? I don't really know how to phrase it, but I'd rather it have like a translucent one where you can still see or make out the part of the video underneath

Fansub style gives more of the character while they speak. I'd support broadcast just because of readability but I admit I prefer fansub

Okie weird one
I got a few comments on my last sub about the colours being too similar. I'm debating whether to use full broadcast style over my standard "fansub" style. Which of these two do you prefer?
