James Scholz

hey guys, I’ve said this before but I’d like to say it again- thank you so much for the tremendous amount of support you’ve given my channel. I’m truly humbled and blessed to be in this position. today we hit 300,000 subscribers- a milestone I never even considered possible at the start of my channel. thank you so much. the amount of people that have reached out to tell me their stories mean the world to me. I still remember hitting 20 viewers for the first time. I still remember hitting 100 subscribers, then 1000 subscribers. this has grown to something so much bigger than me and that is truly inspiring.

as the pandemic is coming to an end for me, I’ll be starting the next chapter of my life (now as an adult). while this is exciting, it’s also terrifying. I’ve had a lot of trouble sleeping recently due to this, thinking about what I want to do with myself, this channel, and this community. things won’t be the same for the foreseeable future (unless another pandemic strikes). for better or for worse, I’ll eventually have to start moving towards in-person classes and transition back to regular life. this summer I’ve enrolled in a few classes which mandate in-person attendance. **this means that I won’t be able to stream for as long as I typically do.** the updated stream schedule may be found at tinyurl.com/jvscholz *subject to change. I highly suspect this will remain the case for my remaining time in school.

as I previously mentioned, I’ve been having a lot of trouble sleeping recently. It’s 1 am as I’m writing this. also, given the fact that I haven’t taken an actual break from the stream/studying since January, I think it’s a good idea for me to rest before my summer classes start. I’d also like to take this opportunity to think critically about the future of this community as well as reflect upon my past actions. I will try to stream tomorrow, however, if this doesn’t happen I’ll be back on May 31 (with shorter hair). the weekend patreon streams will still continue, however, starting an hour later than usual. to those of you with finals still impending, I with you the best of luck. I’m sorry that I couldn’t be there for you. please make me proud though! I also apologize for such a short notice. this should have been decided upon much earlier.

while you’re reading this, I’d also like to take the opportunity to thank our wonderful moderators Britt, Courtney, and omo as well as our discord moderators. without them, I would have given up a long time ago. they are truly the unsung heroes of the community and their contributions should be recognized. they are responsible for maintaining our community atmosphere, so thank you from the bottom of my heart.

cheers,
James :^)

Yazzaa! Don't let us become a burden or anything that'll weigh you down. It's not something we want for someone who lifts us up. Ps. Mika, I love you

James, take the breather you need, and the only reason I have even the tiniest shred of purpose is all because of you. If you ever decide to stop streaming sometime in the future, please move on and don't let us become a burden.

During the pandemic i gave up studying. I was fed up with online classes and I started hating studying. But you changed me. I again started studying because of you. You were such a inspiration. Thanks for everything. Good luck for your future. I hope to see you as a successful man in the future. So focus on yourself and be safe and healthy.

It’s strange because I only discovered you three weeks ago after being in a huge slump about my performance in school. In just these three weeks I’ve been subscribed to you, even though I’m nowhere near the same level as you, I’ve finally started to run on my drive and not motivation (which, as you’ve said is volatile). Please don’t worry about taking a break, as we all know you truly need it. Thank you for inspiring me as well as others! Can we all get a sheeeeeeeeesh for James?

@radhikaedlabadkarr

James, I can't thank you enough for what you've done to me! Because of you, I have started studying for 8 hrs(as of now, but gonna increase it, definitely). I usually used to waste my time on instagram, YouTube watching stupid comedian's videos. But one day, my recommendation suggested me your 'How I studied for 12 hrs a day for a year' video and I tapped on that suggestion. And EVERYTHING changed. It's only been a week or two joining you, I have noticed so many positive changes that I can't even explain! And somewhere I feel that you have some extraordinary vibe that attracts people AND bring changes in them. And yes! All the best for .... everything! Our best wishes will be always with you. Love from India! ❤️🇮

@hanelma_darija_español

We think about you and your well being more than you know, or more than we show! It’s true that, usually, all we do is come to your streams and study with you, but deep inside we mostly wish you’re not overwhelming yourself, not getting mentally and psychologically tired, and being satisfied and happy, because you don’t deserve less. With that’s been said, please James, take the longest break you feel like you need, we need you to be and feel good/better. We also don’t want you to overthink it and lose sleep over it, we are understanding you perfectly! And guess what? We have a bunch of your recorded streams that we can study with over and over, but you? You meed rest and reflection. And you should take it with NO guilt nor self blaming. You are ALSO doing it for us, not only yourself, because WE do care about you a lot. Stay safe and take good care of yourself!

It’s crazy to me how I came across someone who has the same interests and values as me in life, while coming from an entirely different place and atmosphere. I’m really proud of what you’ve done James!! I hope your break is amazing! See you in the patreon streams!

Helluuuuu! James, I want to say thank you sm for the livestreams - as a high school student in the UK dealing with my last ever set of exams in high school, the exam period was one filled with anxiety and stress. However, I came across your channel at the start of my revision period. Honestly, it was one of the best things that has happened to me. Because of you and the livestreams, I was able to focus well, revise effectively and feel confident in myself - something which I couldn't do due to the lingering anxiety that was always with me. I learnt so, so much from the livestreams - about you, the wonderful community that you have built and myself. Now that my exams are coming to an end, and school for us is gonna be finishing soon, I, too, cannot help but feel stressed, anxious and excited for a new chapter in my life, come September. So I just want to say, thank you so much for your existence, your determination, your drive and your honesty. I now feel like I can achieve my dreams with the skills you have taught me through these livestreams, and I couldn't have asked for anyone else to receive it from. So, in case I don't attend the livestreams, please rest well, you deserve it, I wish you all the best in the future, and may you (and Mika) be happy, healthy and safe <3

As a 20 year old living in a modest country i've always made sacrifices in order to become as successful as possible. Last night's video made me aware of the purpose i once had and i couldn't help but cry during the entire video. Thank you for existing and for being by far the biggest inspiration in my life and the life of many other youth.
