Hi pete I'm following you, so I have some ideas that might help you in making your videos, 1- What are the grammatical errors that native speakers make in Australia 2- What are the tenses and grammar used in Australia

Are there Quokkas in Victoria? I’ve seen one in Adelaide, he looked a bit like a tiny kangaroo.

okay i've got one -- i'm originally from adelaide but i've been living in canada for 25 years and i've completely lost my australian accent in my everyday speaking but can slip back into it at will. however i only recently found out that pronouncing words like "dance" as "dɑːns" rather than "dæns" is a uniquely adelaide thing. but it seems like only half of the words in the general (non-adelaide) australian accent differ from UK RP in that the /ɑː/ is instead pronounced /æ/, while half retain the RP /ɑː/. so my question is how is that distinction made? i.e. why is "can't" pronounced /cɑːnt/ but "slant" pronounced /slænt/ ?
