Best hot hatch of the above 300bhp category including the numb and heavy 4WD usual suspects. The GR is on another level being an homologation special and all that means. I suspect if not as easy to grab by the scruff of the neck sort of car the Type R is just as playful and the better car.

The triple exhaust resonator has a purpose and function, gives the exhaust noise without the drone and boominess. The car is fugly, luckily Spoon make nice front and rear aftermarket functional bumpers for it that looks so much cleaner.

Although the ctr in normal garb looks like it was drawn on the back of a maths book by a 12 year old, I have to say it’s just wonderful to drive and surprisingly practical.

For me the Yaris still has the edge over the Civic, even though the Honda is marketed as the more subdued design. I look forward to your own review Mr M. Sundays just wouldn't be right without the trip to Harry's Garage. Best wishes to you and yours Sir, do stay safe and well.

I'm busy editing down a new Harry's Farm video at the moment (which should go live later today) but at 5pm on Harry's Garage there's a new video going live on the Honda Civic Type R Sport Line.
Now having owned the GR Yaris for a bit, I was keen to see if the Civic Type R was potentially a more practical GR Yaris rival and because Honda has just released a Sport Line version, with 'calmer' exterior styling, this was the perfect excuse to get one booked in.
