Just wanted to say a huge thank you. I suppose I am the target species of audience. I was taught to fish by my dad as a kid and I am a competent coarse angler. Unfortunately he passed away before teaching me how to fish the sea. Without wanting to cause offence you remind me so much of him in your style of fishing. I didn't fish for about 15 years once he was ill and after he was gone. However the Mrs, Stepdaughter and I started holidaying on the Kent coast and being that close to so much water I couldn't resist taking the tackle, once I had dusted and cleaned it all. Four years on the Deal storm beaches and not so much as a nudge, not that I cared it was great to be out there again. It was starting to get to me a little bit though. So started to look for online help and stumbled on your channel. This year was a very different story in a week of fishing I had two bass, numerous doggies and even a green eel which I really wasn't expecting. Now I'm even more frustrated not with fishing but the lack of time life affords me to go. My nearest salt water is the blackwater estuary at Maldon and I have absolutely no idea where or how to fish it. Once again thank you very much for giving me the confidence to keep trying different tactics until something works. JED Clarke on the stepdaughter's account.

Yeah went to my usual haunt at Silver Springs, Congresbury, had a small Carp first thing this morning, a couple of knocks and a bite and when reeling in it spat out the hook (bastuard). Then nothing till darkness fell, couldn't see anything then so went home 😭😭Thanks for the videos you do, as they say, you never stop learning... Tight lines.

It all worked out. One rod caught a sweetlip. The second, managed to bring in a Wobbegong, the wire works great!! Thanks for the tip. Being a beginner, I'd never heard of the wire
