When moving to Wyoming, what concerns you the most?

@misstraveler1001

None of the above really, I can prepare for those! Finding a doctor, dentist, manicurist...those sorts of things, getting settled. Finding the right place...

@mma4l

The snow is what worries me the most having to go to work in those winter conditions.

The cost of living seems so much higher than here where I currently live.

to get a similar home to what we have in MN , the WYO prices are seem so much higher that we 'd probably not benefit from the lower taxes(though I'm limited to looking online and only see asking prices) - having lived in MN (mega taxes property taxes double plus an income tax nearly equal to fed income tax ) for 30+ years - - - snow and temperature aren't a concern , nor the wind when compared to West Texas / Eastern New Mexico - after all, things like snow shovels are readily available (it's called winter exercise )

Living in New England, we have weird weather so none of these things bother me. If I had to pick one, I would say wind just because it’s my least favorite but it’s not something that would deter me from moving. We’ll be in Casper by early summer 2022.

I think it is a toss between the temperature extremes and the snow. The snow only due to the appalling lack of trees in the majority of the state so the snow would really drift! I grew up where the Great Lakes dump several feet on you at a time, it was always easier driving through the wooded areas and apposed to the fields because of drifting. I wonder more about how to get a job out there before making the move. Obviously places would want to hire locals over outsiders. Yet some of us can't move without the security of knowing there will be an income to be able to pay for a home. I am not quite sure how that works.

Finding work and covid mandates. Looking for a place that doesn’t mandate vaccines and mask wearing.
