I've always felt that the inspiration from the original Legend of Zelda that Isaac so unabashedly wears on its sleeve is one of it's biggest charms, and one that often goes overlooked. This video does an excellent job of shining a light on that inspiration, from the visual, to the mechanical, to the feeling it evokes when playing it.
