Basically this gets rid of a large incentive to fake streams and instead when you listen to an artist you'll actually give them directly a portion of your monthly subscription. (Like how YouTube premium works) With Spotify currently when things are pooled, 5% will automatically go to someone like drake. That being said heres my sound cloud lol soundcloud.com/barely-sociable

I now respect Slightly Sociable way more than Barely Sociable. For real, though, that was a good video with a good message. Hopefully this will be the catalyst for us to finally get Sociable to “rap about pussy”.

Soundcloud has always been better than spotify (but I'm biased bc I've discovered way more underground bangers thru soundcloud over the years)

As someone who's slowly getting better at producing and trying to make a name for myself to one day be able to get paid for what I love, this is insane

It’s important in moments like this to humble yourself and try to put it in perspective: because YES ITS ALL YOU BABY WOO YEAH

Slightly Sociable
Holy sh*t, SoundCloud just announced they are changing the way revenues are paid out to artists.
If you recall my spotify video I talked about how pooled revenue devalued music.
Meaning no more pooled royalties on their platform, and smaller artists can actually get paid directly for listens.
Did my video actually make a difference...?
Deezer said they were trying to do this for years but couldn’t 🤔
