I live alone. Last year, in January & one in April I lost my dogs. Both just about 15. I didn't think I would make it and often I didn't want to. I pray for your healing. Much love.

The love for an animal is just unexplainable. I have loved and lost so many in my life. They are your family. The grieving for a pet is no different than the loss of a human in our lives. Much love to you and your family through this time ❤️

I have cried reading your journey - I have lost so many fur loves and it never gets easier! People who don't understand tend to be those who also don't care about humans either - I find they're not worth bothering over! You will always have those amazing memories! Crying for you and with you x

As a lover of dogs I have always had them in my life. I feel a little guilty sometimes that I truly love my own dogs more than a lot of people. I also know the grief that comes when their brief time with us is done. The one thing that brings me the most comfort is to remember what a good, comfortable, happy, and love filled life I was able to give them. So many dogs don't get that. People like us owe it to those beautiful creatures to love as many as we can in the time we have. Lou, rest and recover. Take all the time you need knowing we will be here for you when you come back. From my own experience, when you are ready, another dog is out there that needs you, and it is the best medicine for a broken heart. Obviously never a substitute for those we have lost, but a new joy just the same.

We love you Lou and it warms my heart to know that Abbey was loved so deeply. Please don't close your heart to one day loving another animal. So many dogs and cats needing furever homes and One day when you are ready I hope you will adopt in Abbey's honor and memory.

I was in so much pain when I lost my Rocco, I turned to YouTube. There are great videos on how to cope and understand the pain. I'm so Thankful for those videos, they did help with dealing with the pain and heartache. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Hi Guys, i wanted to let you know that I will be back on the tube in a few days but I won’t be talking about what happened this past week. I can’t. I know a lot of us have gone through this heartbreak before. It is soul crushing. I suppose I am grieving my way, whatever that is. I might be physically without that sweet, beautiful part of my life, but she will always be in my heart and in my memories. I would like to say how grateful I am for all of your love and support. Thank you for sharing your experiences and feelings with me here. I read and take in every comment as if it’s the only one there.
