Cookiezi, also known as Shigetora, is widely regarded as the South Korean/Japanese overlord of osu!. His account was created on the 17th of June 2009, and managed to achieve rank #1 globally after a single year. He later stopped playing regularly, and took breaks in 2011, 2012, and 2013, yet he still managed to win the 2012 osu! World Cup, playing for South Korea. In 2013 he requested the osu!-staff to delete his account, since he wanted to stop playing for multiple reasons, but his request got denied. This resulted in him forcing his ban on November 11th, 2013 by letting a third party log into his account and cheat on the beatmaps Hommarju feat. Latte - masterpiece+DT,HD,HR [Insane] and Jun.A - The Refrain of the Lovely Great War+DT,HD,HR [Lunatic]. As a result, his account was banned; his profile hidden and all of his player statistics removed. The next trace we have of him is when he played in a 2 versus 2 format tournament with Poruteri in late 2014. Since he didn't have his own account, the player "burstlimit" let him play on his account to compete in the tournament. It is notable that he achieved a full combo on the old version of xi - Blue Zenith [FOUR DIMENSIONS] during one of the matches. Him and his team won the tournament, but he later got disqualified due to account-sharing. On June 21st of 2015, he came back and started livestreaming on his old Twitch-account, quickly gaining a gigantic viewer base and raising osu! to the top page of games viewed on Twitch whenever he went live. During this time, he set a large number of scores that would've been #1 on the leaderboards, had he not been banned. In the spring of 2016, however, he stopped streaming on Twitch and started streaming on the Japanese livestreaming site OPENREC, instead. This action voided his partnership with Twitch. On the 26th of November 2015, his ban-appeal was accepted and he was unbanned. He continues surprising the community by reaching top 100 in barely a month and setting one of the highest pp hidden hardrock scores Panda Eyes & Teminite - Highscore+HD,HR [Game Over@99.60%,700pp] achieved on January 8th, 2016. In december 2015 he accomplished a full combo on the map Tatsh - IMAGE - MATERIAL -<Version 0>[Scorpiour@99.22%,465pp] which until that point of time was considered "cursed" and un-FCable. Another notable full combo of him after his unban is Seiryu - Critical Crystal+HD,HR [Ultra@99.47%,555pp], where he has a higher accuracy with Hidden and Hardrock than most of the nomod FCs..

@Drxvmik

I would like to digress. (i am not sure if this is a correct desc dont kill me) In my opinion, the greatest player that shall win the race is clearly a prodigy of no other, a legendary player that has broken the rules, has the most magicity and has the most varying skillsets, DoomsWolf. He has the godliest consistency in the game, and even the most charming plays that will hook every player in this game, whatever the skillset. Well, let's analyze his skillset a little bit better, shall we? We will talk about those skillsets: Reading, Aim, Consistency, Nerve Control, Finger Control and of course, the Magicity. First I want to talk about the magicity, the most confusing of a bunch, because it isn't probably even included in the english dictionary. Magicity is the charm and feel, or somewhat of a texture to his plays, that he excels at the most. His texture is the look at his face while he's playing it, feel is very comfy, and the charm is that all of the plays are so legendary, that I can't even describe it, just look it on YouTube, it will show up in no time. Now, let's go into the more normal skillsets, but I don't have much time so I will touch on those briefly. Reading: Can play any old map with ease, has a wonderful consistency on it and can mesmerize anyone. Aim: Is very nice, and is looking pretty fresh. Consistency: Extremely good, can spit out wonderful and mesmirizing plays like a truck. Nerve Control: Ties very closely with consistency, is very good, can FC long maps thanks to it. Finger Control: Very nice. I just have to say, that his plays are very underrated by the PP system and are many-times underlooked by the community because of the fresh 1500pp Kira Kira Days (Harumachi Remix. Cut Ver.) plays, and his scores are awarded only like at the range that his 400-500pp. peppy fix your pp system. This is what I wanted to touch on in this long comment, and I hope that you changed your opinion. and yes the main reason why I like him because he is a cute doggo-wolf. don't tell anyone.

@SinjoroMoseo

Azereu isn't so great? Are you kidding me? When was the last time you saw a player with such aim ability and movement with a tablet? Alex puts the game in another level, and we will be blessed if we ever see a player with his skill and passion for the game again. CookieCat breaks records. RafWoof breaks records. Azereu breaks the rules. You can keep your statistics. I prefer the magic.

I'd have to say it's my grandfather. Even though he's never played Osu before I can tell that he would be able to do well and even become a world-record holder since he is skilled with his hands after working over 10 years in sewing suits and dress for the Ethiopian Culture in Addis Ababa. He also had to work on his eyes so that would also give him an advantage since his hand-eye coordination is well above average when it comes to 65-70-year-old age. Now you may be wondering, "How would your grandfather play Osu?" Well, my cousin lives with him so he can play on his computer. I feel like he could probably beat any Osu! player within 15 minutes of his first try at this. Let me conclude this essay by saying this, my grandfather is a phenomenal man both at whatever he does and as a person.
