Day 13 of our trip Across China ended with a visit to the iconic city wall of Xi'an. This 14km, 600 year-old, wall is the most well preserved ancient wall in all of China. You can walk it, you can take a guided golf cart tour or you can take a rental bicycle (single or tandem). Next we had to visit the ancient Bell- and Drum Towers right in the centre if the city with a detour through Xi'an food and cultural epicenter- Muslim Quarter market. The most delicious food in all of Shaanxi province. Lamb kebads grilled to perfection, "Pao Mo" - a dish of pull-apart tender lamb or beef slices in a delicious broth with torn bread and glass noodles. There are too many delicious dishes for one visit. This place is a foodie's heaven!
