Totally agree with you Chris. I have the Jackson Coosa Fd works awesome for me in many of the small and large lakes in my area and probably not the best choice if floating a very shallow creek or river. Deeper river no problem to shallow water but removing rudder and pulling up the flex drive unit. The hull design is made for more control and cutting through deeper water. On the other hand the Jackson Coosa Hd is made for very shallow rivers, creeks ect. With a flatter hull design and rounded keel. Coosa hd would probably float across wet grass blades in your front yard lol. I was just using the Jackson kayaks as a example for thats what I use, but it applies to any other brand kayak.

Out West with Chris
A lot of folks thought that once I purchased a pedal kayak I got rid of my Feelfree... That's false. I love this kayak and trust it more on rivers than I would any Hobie. Kayaks are like tools in a toolbox, no single one is perfect for everyone or every application.
