Nate O'Brien

FRAUD ALERT: Scammers are everywhere. I will NEVER reach out to you asking for money. I DO NOT sell anything. There are scammers impersonating me on nearly every platform, including email & Instagram.
If you receive a random message or email from these scammers, please consider flagging them as spam.

Thanks everyone! This is an ongoing problem among many channels. Hopefully YouTube addresses this issue soon

And thanks for 1 million subscribers! Love y’all

You know you doing very well in life when you got scammers trying to impersonate you. Much respect for Nate O' Brien

@EverydayMoney0

This is a major problem and even small channels like mine are getting copycat scammers. If youtube doesn't do something it's really going to degrade the legitimacy of the platform. I can't comment on your channel, Graham Stephan's, or Richard Fain's channel without immediately receiving multiple spam replies.

Nate, first of let me say that you are a remarkable young man. You are one of the wisest 20 something year old I have ever seen in my life. You are highly appreciated for your transparency. Its commendable how you handle negativity and criticism. Hats off to you. And heartiest congratulations on gaining 1 million subscribers. That a pretty huge deal.

An easy way to stop a lot of email impersonators is to set up security on any/all domains you control. SPF record, DKIM signatures, and a proper DMARC policy will do wonders. Your website doesn’t appear to have any of those. It just takes some configuration; happy to help.

YouTube really need to take action to prevent these scammers ! Scammers and fake accounts makes being online very risky and unsafe. I hope more security come into place when allowing people to open accounts and pages online, maybe even requesting identification; similar to opening a bank account! Or some security system in place to prevent this increasing before it’s too late.
