I also grew up with divorced parents and my biological dad was never around. My mom raised me and my older brother on her own and our stepdad at the time help out a little too.

I saw this when it came out.. I was really impressed by the story telling.. I’ll be getting divorced this year from a 23+yr marriage from a cheating wife... just listening to the impact of the results of the divorce rips my soul to the core. I have a teen daughter and adult son..I’m already working harder than I ever have to make a better life for my daughter and knucklehead son whom I love. This story just lets me know to keep going for them and don’t stop being successful so I can spend as much time as I can with them.✊🏾

I grew up with divorced parents as well. I didn’t understand why that didn’t want to be together until I was 5 and what my dad did....cheated and you know what comes next. I thought she was a new friend not a sister
