SmarterEveryDay

I just posted this year's Peru Orphanage update. If you're not familiar with Not Forgotten, for the last 8 years My wife and I have been working with Not Forgotten to provide holistic family care to "street boys" in Peru. It's something my we love, and every year getting the update from Tyler is a highlight for everyone on the channel here. With 2020 being what it was, I thought you'd be especially interested in hearing this year's update. God is good, and the children have been thriving in what could have easily become a very difficult situation. The fact that teachers come to Las Lomas to teach the kids has proven to be HUGE in terms of how the year went down. I just posted the video on the second channel. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=INZrn...)

If you're interested in supporting Not Forgotten via Patreon that would be awesome. The idea is to establish a very broad base of support, so monthly costs are covered. You can support here if you're interested: www.patreon.com/notforgotten/

The video is also on the Project for Awesome website: projectforawesome.com/watch?v=INZrns2RNWA

Thank you for taking a moment to check out this video! This is important to me.

Regards,

Destin

That’s awesome Destin, my church worked with the street boys down there for many years building Adobe brick homes as well as a school, incredible privilege to serve and build relationships with children who are treated worse than prostitutes and criminals. I’ve watched many go onto to have successful lives despite being abandoned as young as 4 years old, so glad your family is helping these children. 😉 Appreciate all you do bro

You make my heart swell with hope for these precious children. I will do what I can, and try to help make more people aware of this worthy endeavor. Thanks for the inspiration.

You changed my life. You and everyone in your vids. I knew I was smart, but life tried to hold me down. Everything that comes out of your mouth has been amazing. I'm a new g-pa. I will take your knowledge and kind heart, and will spread it to anyone that will listen. You really made a mark on my heart. Please keep posting. You, your family, your friends, are priceless. Thank you for you compassion to spread knowledge. I will do the same.

Destin, i freaking love all these videos; especially how you interact with all the people you meet. It just gives me so much joy to watch and feel like people are searching for the good in this world. Indeed, there is much!! I just have one question: how do you pick the Bible verses at the end of each video?

A great example of what being a good steward is all about. Keep it up, Destin!

I'm unclear after skimming through a video or 2 & reading your About section whether you were in the military or only making videos about the military with permission. If you were, thanks for your service! My uncle was in the Navy & always on a sub. I think I would get claustrophobia, but he served for 20 years. RIP, Uncle Bob! I added your "Boarding a Submarine" video to my Must See Military in Action/Tributes playlist. Thanks for sharing!

The British Standards Institution is a Royal Charter Company and is governed by its Royal Charter and byelaws. As it has no share capital BSI is what is termed a “non-profit distributing company” because profits are re-invested back into the business.

Just watched the Kodak episode and it reminded me so much of where I used to work. I worked in the lab at Coors Brewing Company in Golden CO. and I don’t think most people know how much chemistry and microbiology goes into making beer (maybe most people who watch you do ;) Just want to say I love watching your channel especially with my two sons 6 & 8. We enjoy your ad lib to the conversations 😎

I loved the video about snatch blocks. Very informative but I am curious why you didn’t cover weight reduction vs. the element of adding more pulleys.
