I am so grateful for the time that Dr Grande takes in his work. Over and over again we might have been seeing BPD being somehow feminised which want to make me ask what symptoms might we observe in men (fathers) with BPD? Would these (fathers) men not influence the probability of their children developing BPD? Thank you very much.

First question : 'Is there a core of cluster B personality disorder comorbidity?' Second question : 'If the core of BPD is an unstable sense of self, and the core of NPD is self-deception, what is the core of ASPD?' Third question : 'If behaviour indicates BPD most strongly at critical times in a relationship, but indicates other disorders more strongly other times, is there likely to be a single underlying core disorder? If so, is BPD the most likely candidate?' I tend to agree that with BPD fear of abandonment is obvious initially; but fear of engulfment manifests as a relationship stabilises.

I was wondering if you could review a video clip where Jordan Peterson discusses BPD. The video has 700 000 views and comes up very high in the results when you search for "Borderline personality disorder" in Youtube. I'm not an expert but I personally find that the way he describes people with BPD offensive considering that he is a licensed psychologist and that some of the facts he presents might not be correct. I would really love it if someone who is an expert in BPD would go through the video and comment it in a scientifically fashioned way. In any case, thanks for doing a good job in giving out very comprehensible but scientifically accurate information about BPD. I don't have any personal experience with BPD but find that the diagnosis is extremely stigmatizing, and I think what you are doing works to reduce the stigma and makes the discussion about BPD a bit more factual, which is a huge contribution.

I’d like to hear more about BPD and comorbidity with other cluster b personality disorders, and how those often manifest when present together.

Regarding BPD and sex: reading the diagnostic criteria, one might assume risky behaviors such as promiscuity to be the norm. How often do therapists and clinical psychologists encounter individuals with BPD who do the opposite and manifest total aversion to any sexual interaction whatsoever?

Wow! BPD and sex is such a complicated topic. Where to even begin? I have BPD and I can split if I have sex with someone I’m not sure reciprocates my feelings. I would like to know how to set boundaries early with a romantic interest to avoid becoming emotionally invested too soon. Also, how to deal with our intense attraction or desire so that we don’t feel so consumed by it. I don’t know if these are good questions. Trying to think of ones that others can also relate to.

Could you discuss eating disorders and BPD occurring together? What is the best way of treating an ED that’s comorbid with BPD? Thank you

Hello Dr Grande -- I have enjoyed watching your videos ever since I discovered YouTube during the COVID lockdown. I notice that recently you are responding a lot to viewer requests for analyses of crimes and highly public cases such as the Depp/Heard trials (and trials they are...). I appreciate your sense of humor and balanced approach. These videos might help some put these events in perspective, however, I hope that your channel does not become too highly focused on the sensational. For my own part, I have found your videos about personality, mental health, and family dynamics very helpful and thought-provoking. I wish I could find a therapist like you! In fact, if you have not done so previously, this might provide an interesting topic for a video -- 'how to find a counselor that suits your needs'. One doesn't want to rely upon recommendations from friends whose personality and cognitive style may be quite different; one might not even want to discuss wanting/needing a therapist. It's hard to know what questions are helpful and reasonable to ask, and how to determine whether the therapist is going to click. I have hesitated, perhaps too long, because I don't have a lot of time, and alas, not a huge amount of patience for non-productive situations. What do you think about this idea?

I desire sex and regularly think about how good it would be to have sex, but when actually faced with the opportunity, I can feel overwhelmed and even grossed out. This is confusing and very distressing for me. Do you think it could be related to my bpd?

Another Off Topic Request: with open adoption, the adoption experience of adoptees seems to have faded. There is still a number of folks who are dealing with effects of closed adoption mostly in their 50s. Could you do a deep dive on this? Outcomes, impact over course of life stages, challenges, etc. TIA

I've watched many other channels that discuss the improbability of change with a narcissist. Could you discuss this please? My husband has definite traits. He has not committed to counseling. We were married for 7 years and now separated for 6 months. I am a Christian and don't believe in across the board divorce but have experienced such freedom since being out from under the "dark cloud" of his irrational behaviors.

How likely would it be that a person with NPD would Trigger the person with BPD to become more emboldened within a large group of people 🤔? Thanks

Dr. Grande, I am requesting that you analyze Donald J. Trump, convicted felon, failed businessman, reality show host, and 47th United States President. Also, I would love to hear your opinion on his relationship with the world’s richest man, Elon Musk.
