hi everyone! over the past two weeks i've been trying to think of a way to use this lil community we have for the better and to engage in discussions re: the black lives matter movement. i work really hard on this channel to try and ensure that i don't create edits that endorse harmful stereotypes/narratives or romanticise traumas, and i want to make sure that when i do engage in this topic (as i believe is my duty, even with such a small platform as this) it is with grace and humility. the black lives matter movement is not about my voice, but it is about the ways in which i have been privileged. i've launched a project on my instagram @voightsgirl where i'll be editing personalised videos for people if you send me a screenshot as proof that you've donated to an organisation/signed a petition/written to their local representative.
