Souls part of the video video came out to 1 hour 19 minutes in length, so I'm splitting them into two videos. First one/Souls video should go up later than usual on Sunday, but it'll be up Sunday. Thanks to everyone who voted and weighed in on this.

Splitting it up would make it more digestible for people. It's what was done for Yoshi's Island and it was a good call

The way you describe it, it makes sense to split them into a "The Souls" video and a "The Modes" video.

I love longer videos, nothing makes me happier than seeing a 2+ hour long video in my sub box :3

Personally I'd go for option B, just due to being used to working around stream VODs nowadays, but honestly won't complain either way.

Personally, I think it'll really depend on people's personal tastes and patience when it comes to long YouTube videos, and I'd like to compare this with that for feature films. As you said, if you were to split the bonus video into two Parts, Part 2—after editing— would be somewhere around 1hr 20 minutes or so (equivalent to about an 80-minute film), while Part 1—after editing—I assume would be somewhere around 40 minutes or so, although I might be off on that number. I'm sure some viewers might not be comfortable sitting through a two-hour video, much like some viewers might not be comfortable sitting through a two-hour film or even longer. For example, had you decided five years ago to release the Yoshi's Island bonus video as a single upload, with Part 1 being about 1hr 12 minutes (equivalent to about a 72-minute film) and Part 2 being about 1hr 42 minutes (equivalent to about a 102-minute film), you'd be looking at about three hours, which would definitely have the consensus of being incredibly too long. In that case, I think you made the right call back then. Personally, I'm on the camp that actually likes sitting through stuff that's over an hour or two (I've seen films that were closer to the three-hour mark such as Interstellar , for example.), and that's certainly the case with YouTube videos. I wouldn't mind sitting through a two-hour bonus video, but at the same time, I wouldn't mind the Aria of Sorrow bonus video being two parts. Ultimately, I think it should be your final call, but since you asked for opinions, I'd thought I would give my two cents on this.

I don't think the length is an issue but those are two very different topics and I feel the boss rush deserves a video of its own... So yeah, split it for sure

I personally prefer a long uncut video, it's nice to have content to watch at my leisure

I sorta want it to be in two separate videos for the sole fact that I want more attention drawn to Julius mode on the video. I'm curious to hear other people's thoughts on it, and I don't think we'd hear as much if they were all shuffled in with the huge video idea. Cause mann, I do love me some Julius Mode, and I find that doing a video around that and Boss rush would be more comprehensive, in a way.

Personally speaking, I've gotten used to keeping up with the hours of Twitch content (with timestamps for specific sections)... However, given the distinctly different natures of the two parts, it probably makes more sense to split it off into two separate "Souls" and "Modes" episodes.

It sounds like you have two distinct parts to the video that are separate from each other, so it makes sense to split it into two (or more) videos. Not only is it more digestible, it helps out viewers if they just want to see the locations of the extra souls, or just the other mode content since they wouldn't need to scroll through a large chunk of content they're not interested in to get to what they want to watch (within reason, of course). It is a bit more work on your end, but I think that having the extra content available and having it be more accessible to those that just want to see one part of the video or the other will make it well worth the extra work.

I'll probably try and watch them together anyway, but youtube is inconsistent with keeping my progress in videos, so 2 separate would be preferred.

I personally like the shorter videos. It's not like I won't watch longer vids, but I tend to put them off if I can't watch it all at once. At least with shorter ones, I'll be more likely to watch it ASAP

I'd say splitting the videos up would be a better idea overall, though I'm not sure if putting the second video on May 9th is a good idea considering that's the weekend of TRG Colosseum.

Looking for some opinions on what to do with this Aria of Sorrow bonus video. Currently it's looking like it'll be two hours long when it's done editing. That might be WAY too long for a lot of people, so I want to see what you all think. If it was cut into two videos, Part 1 would be showing off the souls we missed, and where to get them. Part 2 would be Boss Rush, Julius Mode (Bosses Only), Hard Mode (Exclusive Items Only) and the 100% Souls ending. Souls Only is going to be the longer part, probably landing around 1h 20min. I'm still editing it together so it may be shorter or longer. What do you guys think we should do?
