If you're covering slang, add in the fact we use multiple meanings for the same slang. For example, mate. Depending on length, tone, volume, and circumstances, it has a variety of meanings from friend, spouse, seriously you f*wit, and so on. Honestly given the situation, most aussie slang is contextual. Colour to the palette. A fair comparison would be the period the english coined the word soccer. It was the rage to shoerten words. We never let that go.
