First of all , yes I’m a ukulele addict ! I have 9 , a Lauren baritone, a Suzuki concert, a Kala tenor, a harmony soprano, a Rossen soprano, a Hawaiian soprano, a Duke Kahanamoku soprano, a Japanese soprano made for Hawaii, and a antique soprano from the 60’s made for tourist in Hawaii ( no name ) , I love them all ! Every one of them has a different voice and tone , some are brilliant, while others are more suttle , strings make a big difference, and there kinda like having old friends around that you call call on when you need them. 👍

I own 3, they are all too cheap for me to remember the brands but in a way I like it that way because I love traveling places with it. Nothing like grabbing the uke, setting off on my motorcycle, and finding a nice little place to play

I bought one in July last year in order to fight boredom during lockdown. It's a really cheap mahogany concert uke from a nearby music store delivered right at my doorstep. Nevertheless it brought life and music to me and my 14 year old daughter with special needs. I taught her how to sing with uke accompaniment and was amazed at how quick she memorized the lyrics.

I own 1, but love it to bits. It’s a Makala tenor uke. If you’re buying another, I would suggest getting one that is made out of koa wood, a native wood from Hawaii 😉

I have 2 soprano ukes. Brought them a few years ago. One for me, one for my son, who unfortunately lost interests in playing pretty fast. Mine is a Donner Spruce with Mahogany sides, the other a Makala Shark. Its cute. I've been using that one lately because it has a slightly smaller neck. (I have smaller hands) Been wanting a concert uke lately for a little deeper sound. Thanks again for the beautiful videos!

I recently bought my second uke. A Pono tenor with cedar top and mahogany back and sides. Very impressed, great tone and sparkly ring to it. Think Pono offers a high quality, solid wood instrument at a reasonable price. Check out the Ukulele site Hawaii. Gully

If you are going for a Low G take a look at the Super Tenor size. I have an Islander AST4, and Kanile'a do some higher end models. I believe the slightly bigger body gives more resonance & sustain...
