1. Take it to the vet to make sure it is ok 2. Keep it 3 (depends). If I cannot keep it for whatever reason then I will put it in a shelter and hope it gets a loving family

This actually happened to me a couple months ago, so my mom was driving me back from school and we saw this dog wandering around the neighborhood, it wasn’t just an outside dog, it was doing laps around the block, so my mom decided to take it in to our house and the post it on Facebook and other social media apps to try and find the owner, but we didn’t find the owner and my sister loved it, so we had to keep it (Sorry for the long comment)

Basically we would like to either keep it or find a dog shelter... but due to daily circumstances i think 90% of us will have to ignore it sadly...

Here's what I would do: slowly go towards it, then check if it has a collar. If it does, then I'd try to find out where it lives. If it doesn't, then I would take it home, (Just to give it a bath, etc) then ask around if anyone lost a pup. If that doesn't work, then I'd call a shelter or something to take care of the puppy, and wait to see if someone comes looking for it. If that still doesn't work, then it's mine. Edit: But I voted "Keep it."

i usually ignore strays since they're contaminated with all sorts of disease from being out in the wild and im not trying to get sick just by simply picking them up.i would rather save the time and get a pet from the shelter which has all of its known history,shots and docs to certify it as a pet...

I'll probably wait for some time as the puppy's parent would have gone in search of something If I take it without waiting, the mom of the puppy would feel sad that it lost its child

I don't think my mom would let me get another dog so I'd have to put it in a dog shelter

My mom normally wouldn't let me get a dog, saying they're "expensive", but if we find a homeless one who was abandoned, we could keep it...
