Legitimately the only reason I knew what to do when my fiancee passed was because you made videos on death planning and death advocacy. One of your deathlings was layed to rest per her exact wishes to the letter. Thank you for everything you have ever done. 🖤🖤

Hey, I'm from Brazil and I found your channel recently, after my dad's death due covid 19. After some videos I bought your book at Amazon. I couldn't find a better place to say thank you so much for your existence. Because of your book, I could deal better with the mourning process. That book is necessary. Thank you so much, Mrs Doughty.

The way you present your knowledge of such a “hard to talk about” topic, makes it so much more interesting. Your passion, humor, and genuine education of your field is so inspiring to me. You should be very proud of every video you’ve made

I love all your videos & finding your channel has helped me as I've been going through an extremely painful loss. I wont wax poetic but everything you do & the person you are; so much to be proud of. Thank you.

Thanks for all the great videos and advice. You've helped me along with many others understand death as a season of life and more fully appreciate the transition. A suggestion would be to keep reminding people how important it is to have a will and document their wishes and instructions. Our attorney said he sees so many families having to deal with a lot of confusion and legal red tape that could have been easily avoided with just a piece of paper and a few bucks for a notarized signature. Thanks again!!

I just recently found your channel, I'd say a month or two ago. Catching up on all of your videos has been so informative and your tone of voice is rather relaxing. It is such a blessing to have someone like you to navigate the rest of us through what could be a pretty horrible time. You have given so much information that most of us have never heard of as far as the death process and the funerary process you are a treasure chest of information. Please keep making videos! As a new follower I just want to see more and more!❤

I loved it. I've been following you for a long time, sometimes I find myself missing the old format and things like the morbid minute but it is more because of nostaligia than anything else, it is obvious how much love and passion you put into your videos and I wait for each one eagerly. I even find excuses to use them with my students. May you have a great year!

Hi, Caitlyn! I discovered your videos about a week ago, and have been binge-watching ever since. So far, there isn’t a dud in the bunch. I’ve learned much that I didn’t know before, in a variety of death-related topics, such as Alkaline Hydrolosis (which sounds much better to me than being being crammed into an expensive box or toasted to dust. All of this, of course, assuming that I don’t wind up hacked to bits in some wackadoodle’s crawl space.) Your videos are jam-packed with knowledge and enthusiasm, tempered with a sense of humor that is just the most delightful shade of twisted. Since I don’t know where else to put this, I would like to suggest Floyd Collins as an Iconic Corpse. His story will freak you right out, as I know how you feel about cave deaths. It’s OK, it freaks me right out, too. We read his story in 7th grade English class. To this day, I am unable to sleep with my arms at my sides, pinned down by blankets. Thank you again for what you do, and for teaching me that I want, and can have, a better death. I’m not as immortal as I used to be. I have a feeling that I’m not the only Deathling that you have helped to get a better grip on that thought.

I loved this video! I have a postmortem photo album in my family and I find it fascinating to look through.

Haven't been able to test it out but I think the videos you make help me out with my necrophobia.

Watching your videos with my 7yr old made the passing of our 20yr old cat that much easier. He had a good death and the child participated in the burial etc. Thx

I've just stumbled upon your page, and OMG I'm glad I did!!! I swear you're like my soul twin or something!!!! I've always felt so calm at cemeteries, when my momma's momma passed when I was 3, I was with her (cool story about that but a different time) when we buried her, I found myself halfway across the cemetery at a tiny baby's grave and headstone, no relation, family didn't know that family, but i was drawn to it, and to this day I still visit when I'm there. But with as many people and animals that I've been with at the time of passing, I'm not as freaked out as I should be (I guess? People always tell me how weird I am because it doesn't bother me) my "lifeology" if you will is there are few things greater than helping someone cross over, they know they're safe and loved, so kinda like the opposite of a birth, but the same principles.... anyway, just wanted to say hi and glad I found you!

One of my resolutions was to be proud of every single video we put out this year. So far we are one for one, because I absolutely love this video recreating 19th century postmortem and mourning tintypes photographs. ➡️ ➡️ ➡️ https://youtu.be/g7SPbfK0EOg
