Hyram

Hey family. If you don't follow me on Instagram, Twitter, or TikTok I've been vocal about my support for the Black Lives Matter movement and sensitivity during this time. Right now is the perfect opportunity for us to self reflect, have those hard conversations with one another, and commit to fighting racism in every capacity. I've listed some of my favorite Black creators below, and I highly suggest you follow them (or comment yours!). I've also been donating to multiple organizations fighting for racial equality, and I encourage you to do so as well.

While I want my channel to be a place of happy distractions, I also understand that right now this fight is most important and that as a white person, I am in no position to comment on this issue; only to support and uplift Black creators, DONATE, and show up for what's right ❤️

I love you all!

I would like to recommend Nisipisa here on YouTube. She’s a smaller beauty guru who’s more into being a smart consumer and talking you out of overspending on makeup that you don’t need (except for lipgloss. The glosspel According to Nisipisa has helped me to get into lipgloss) and other fun stuff. She’s also the kind of person who I can just listen to talk all day: she’s eloquent, conscious of social issues, one of the funniest people I’ve ever watched, and honestly, inspirational.

Thanks for the support! Just wanted to suggest if you could do a spotlight on black owned skincare brands I feel like that’d be a good idea for support as well!

As other mentioned: doing videos on black owned business and brands can also be a great way to show support. Adding to those comments hoping you will see and consider it. I am sure it would be great like all you do :)

Hyram, my husband didn’t know I am an avid viewer of your channel (sub since you had 80k followers), and saw your posts on Twitter. He came to tell me there was a “beauty guru” on YouTube I should watch and subscribe to. I am so friggin’ proud of what you are doing with your voice and platform!!! You truly deserve all the success in the world. My daughters watch your channel as well and I am so happy to follow someone with integrity and action behind their words. Thank you!! 🙏

I highly recommend honorary black community Auntie, Jackie Aina as well. She’s been holding these brands accountable for using our culture to sell but not supporting our struggles. Thank you Hyram for your support.
