I'm pretty sure I'm trauma bonded. I can't seem to stop wanting to be with my narc. He breaks us up at least once a week, going on for hours or days, calling me vile names and such. Things I never would have tolerated before him! Then I am the one who talks him down and convinces him to give us another chance! I don't want to be without him, yet I know in my head I have to leave him! How to break the wanting? The bonds? I have a counselor, she's not helping Kathy, north of Seattle, a little island called camano island Also, I'm 60 and this whole narcissistic thing is ridiculous in how destructive it is, how utterly evil it is, and how widespread it could ultimately be! With multiple generations being raised with the entitlement attitude, society is in trouble!

Admiration and praise (even when built on lies people believe) are fuel for narcs so why do they thrive even more on the misery they cause to those close to them? Love from Elena - Italy

What to do when it’s been over a year and you’re mostly over it but the trauma still lingers and the frustration/self blame that comes with that. Thanks! (From Australia)

How to move on and trust again after a narcasstic marriage and parents. Is it possible to have a healthy relationship?

@MrsDanielWKnott

Does the narcissist calculate what they’re doing or does it just come naturally to them? Are they really thinking, “okay, I’ll love-bomb them today, but tomorrow, I’m going to demean and belittle them, and then next week, I’m going to discard them,” or does this cycle just come naturally to them without them actually calculating it? My next question is, are they born this way or has their environment and childhood caused their brain to function this way? Wendy from North Carolina

@julialights6139

Hi please do consider making a video on how narcs use false blames to get out of a relationship. My ex narc accused me of sleeping around and cheating on him when I didn't. Till this day he believes that and posts stuff on social media about cheating and deceiving. I did get to know when I was in the discard stage about another woman he had met but he said that I pushed him towards her due to my indefinitely. I was true to him always and loved him deeply... But I'm so hurt despite being away from him for nearly a year. There are times when I feel like giving up. Why do they do this when we had everything perfect.. Please help me

Hi Amy, I'd like to know what are the differences between cognitive dissonance, ruminating, and codependency. How to deal with each one?! Thank you for taking the time to answer them and God bless you!!

Hi Amy, my name is Rick from Monterey, Ca. My ex girlfriend has discarded me over and over again. And like a true narc, she convinced me to take her back again and again. I knew better and also knew that she would discard me again like so many times before. It’s been 4 months now this time. The longest was 1 and a half years without a word. I went on a few dates and I couldn’t find any emotion inside me to get to know them because I am so depressed and truthfully, a broken man because of her. My question is I met a woman at the store the other day and I felt so comfortable with this one. We had dinner, a walk, and called it a night. She and I have a lot in common. We’re going to see her tomorrow and she’s making dinner for us. As I type this, my tears are falling as always and I really am not sure what I should do? Do u think I’m ready yet? Or no? I don’t want this new person to be a distraction and I am not into using people. Question is, when will I be able to move on?
