우효입니다. 이번 앨범은 그동안 소중했던 관계들, 오랫동안 나 자신의 일부로 여겼던 고집, 성격, 습관, 삶의 우선순위와 방식, 크고 작은 꿈들이 무너질 때 그런 상황 안에서 느끼는 복잡한 감정들을 기록하는 작업이었습니다. 나보다 나를 잘 모르는 타인이 나에게 요구하는 것들에 당황하고 씨름하다 보면 정작 내가 지금 반드시 넘어야 할 더 큰 산들이 있음에도 그걸 발견할 겨를도 없이 시간이 흘러갑니다. 사람들의 요구와 홀로 서는 것에 대한 두려움 때문에 소중한 시간을 흘려보내고 있지는 않으신가요? 이번 앨범은 전에 발표한 모든 노래처럼 또 하나의 기적이었고 함께해주신 분들 덕분에 가능했습니다. 저에게 과분한 이 앨범을 만드는데 함께해주신 최원민 대표님, 문화인 가족분들, 프로듀서 Vic Vycilinski (Coral Pink), 프로듀서/엔지니어 Cozy (Sunday Moon), 엔지니어 Ben Etter, 엔지니어 Tony Doogan, 엔지니어 권남우님, 사운드어드바이저 김재환님 (서교동의 밤), 디자이너 박소민님, 그리고 하나님께 감사를 드립니다.
Hey, it’s me OOHYO. In this album, I talk about my struggles to keep up with the ever-changing world, amidst all the chaos and confusion that seem to define the post-truth era we now live in. Though sometimes the wisest thing a person can do is to simply face the hard truths about themself, so many things seem to distract us from clearly identifying our innermost needs and flaws. I pray this album would encourage those people who are beginning to discover the smallest, quietest, and simplest truths that free us and allow us to grow in life. May these ‘truths' guide us and fulfill us in ways material values cannot.
