Which “budget” camera from these brands would you choose for filmmaking and why?

BMPCC4K because - Chip (only 1.295$) - Hight image quality (approved around the world)) - + free Davinci Resolve - Internal Raw + Prores recording - In constant upgrading (menu add, ...) - 4/3 mount = chip awesome lens (like Super Tacumar lens !)

@rolandrickphotography

BMPCC4K, stunning footage quality and the BRAW offerers possibilities and quality, the finalised customer codes from all others don’t. And it is super fast and fluent to work with. No optimised media generation needed, this is an enormous time and disk space saver. The only thing I am really missing is a continuous AF in Canons Dual Pixel quality.

@podtechmodkit

Pocket 4K all the way, for all the codecs and frame rates.

A6400, no recording limit, nice color science, superb autofocus, 120 fps 1080p, superb 4k, small and light for gimbal or undercover use, nice dynamic range, good iso noise performance, build in timelapse function.

Sony A6400 decent colors and amazing autofocus. Portable and a flip up screen....not to mention 120Fps! (This is coming from a G85 owner and on Saturday I will own the A7iii)

After you vote, check out my comparison between the a6400 and Canon EOS RP. I hope to do the same between the a6400 and XT-30 as soon as I can get my hands on it. https://youtu.be/ZUK8652bBno

@Tektektekkk

Canon RP can’t be used for filmmaking 😂

G85 because -It offers some GH5 features without being as big or expensive as one -Stabilization is amazing even with kit lens -It doesn’t have overheating issues -Lenses tend to cost less on M4/3 -Has a nice variety of digital filters -I already bought it 😐 *tee hee

@CamtasticRide

The pocket 4k is really exciting and it has a lot of features I'd like to see implemented with other camera companies (ssd recording/ raw/ not 8bit) but I'd have to go with the Sony as I am heavily invested in that system in terms of lenses and kit. I also shoot stills AND video so I need the hybrid.

I just still love MFT. Great lens selection, great 4K, no overheating.

@BrentRusk

I’d choose the A6400 because it would give me a both good video and photography camera in one body. If the choice was video only I’d go with the Blackmagic Pocket 4K.

@PavolKasalaProductions

A6400 - good in low light, great autofocus, no 30mins limit recording, no screen dimming in 4K, great image quality.

@moep3

BMPCC4K because of BRAW + ProRes and the usage of SSDs

@luisfersitos

a6400 is just too good!! I would've loved picking bmp4k but it's more for commercials type stuff, i shoot alot of weddings and events!

I Just put in an order the the A6400. I’m a new YouTuber so my demands are light.. just needed something with great autofocus a small footprint and great video quality... before the A6400, my dream was the A6500, but with the A6400’s advantages like flip up screen and bright screen even when shooting 4K etc, I couldn’t ask for anything more (considering I’m shooting on a Panasonic FZ300 at the moment ) 🙈.. ps. Thanks Max... you’re awesome with your reviews.. never miss a post .. stay blesse
