Kensie West

I’ve gotten many messages and comments over the last few weeks from some people concerned about where I went and why I haven’t been posting. First of all, thank you for being so kind to check in with me and even notice in the first place, you guys are the sweetest!

But to answer your question-
For one, I am BUSY. Like, possibly the busiest I’ve ever been. Which is both good, and incredibly exhausting. I have to pick and choose my battles when I put myself in situations like this and decide what gets priority and what takes a back seat. For me, it’s a no-brainer that my clients and the builds I am working on for them take priority. As much as I love sharing and interacting with you internet peeps, filming and editing takes a lot of time and slows down the progress I’m able to make on the van. A simple video can take me over 10 hours. It’s a labor of love! Sometimes I just don’t have the extra capacity for it.

I spent the last month helping Joey finish up the client build that he was working on, and I’m now in the final stretch of my own client build. Actually, I’m finishing this one up AND I’m the beginning stages of ANOTHER client build. My own build has taken a back seat as well, likely until this winter.

Lastly- I don’t like putting out rushed or sloppy videos just for the sake of getting something uploaded. There’s plenty of noise on the internet already, and I don’t want to throw something out there that doesn’t contribute value or make me proud. My last few videos have not been my best.

What you have to look forward to- I did vlog some a couple weeks back, and I will likely compile that footage into a mini vlog and then sit down and chat a bit with you at the end of that one. You also have a van tour coming! I filmed a quick tour of the van Joey built, and I’ll be putting that out as soon as I can. Then, before we know it, I’ll have this current client build done (another tour, yay!) and then honestly, who knows what. As always, I have projects going on behind the scenes.

Thanks to every one of you rad humans who have supported me (especially if you read all this, lol) and know that I will be back as soon as I am able to provide you with content that I am proud of.

Much love.
Kensie

@Careuhh

You could film and post a delayed video (even in a few months if need be) compiling everything from the current van build!! Anyway love your content and good luck finishing the vans!

Hi Kensie, I recently discovered your videos and i think you guys are amazing. Better then amazing! I have done my research and I like the work of one other couple and you! Your attention to detail is in a class by itself and I also appreciated that while you are budget conscious, you understand where it’s important to spend more and not cut corners. The quality of what you guys do is unmatched in my opinion. So I bought a 2019 Dodge Promaster hi roof partially built out and he did a good job on some things and not great on others. Carpentry wasn’t his thing but he was very good with other things. So I want to have you and Joey take a look and give me an estimated cost of the buildout if you could. It’s my second car, keeping my Jeep Wrangler...too much FUN. Anyway, I don’t see a way to contact you guys on any of the videos and excuse me for being lame about this as I’m sure you have clearly said somewhere how to do this! Thank you. Deanna

Hey Kensie! You are absolutely right to pick and choose your battles! Definitely don't force yourself to make videos, that's a recipe for disaster! I hope you are safe, at peace, and healthy x We love you and thank you for the update ~ The internet peeps

@maggiebrattoli383

Just give us a final van tour. We’d be happy with that also. Take care of yourself first and then the clients and lastly YouTube

Totally understand Kensie. You do what you have to do to continue doing good quality work. At the end of the day, what you do has to satisfy you and fulfill you: not someone else. Hopefully you'll be able to get out a video when you have gotten the time to do so. Be careful not to run yourself ragged, and take care 🙂

Any content is good content. But if it's too much don't push yourself☺

@CallumTash

It’s 100% better to wait until you have a fairly decent video before just uploading any old footage 😁
