What's going to happen to Dragon Pokémon in the Pokémon TCG?

@speedybuilder1953

I want them to come back as dragon, but I think they'll probably be changed to fire or colorless.

@RareCandyTCG

Unfortunately I feel like they are just going to be colorless. But since they never had an explanation about their absence the same way fairies had, I'm hoping they are planning on being reintroduced in a more interesting way than a simple type change

Man I miss fairy types, and now dragon types?! Rip two of my favorite types

@jipsterhipster

The amazing rares probably had something to do with it, as it's the same multiple-different-energy gimmick

@royalchamp

They will make an appearance in the 30th anniversary hentai collection

I like the idea of it being fire type. Dragons breathe fire, and fire isn't shared with anything in the tcg right now, so why not?

I think they're just trying to figure out what to do with the absence of Fairy.

@wattlesplays

wish theyd keep them :(

@DragonNeedles

Dragons will be back. I think they'll keep their brown mustard color scheme, have weakness only to each other and..... for the first time ever they'll come with their own basic energy. Maybe bring back an ancient traits type mechanic. Maybe they're waiting to bring back Dragons in a specialty set like Dragon Vault?

I never liked the aesthetic of the brown-yellow dragon card color anyways. It’s the reason I never picked up shining rayquaza when it was a few dollars

@cachorubione

Probably coming back as colorless or any secondary type they used to have

@sahbsebdrip1139

RIP Dragon types

Honestly I think they'll change to either water or to whatever type reflects their final form's secondary type or be either water or colorless in the case of pure dragon types like the Haxorus and Goodra lines, and Druddigon

@TheSylveonSurfer

They'll likely be their secondary typing or closest associate or colorless if they need variation.

I feel like they will change to Fighting type, because of this theory of mine: In ancient times, dragons were very sacred monsters that knights would slay for honor, right? Well, if they fought the knights, maybe that makes sense. If not, I feel they could change to Darkness type. Either way, I would love to see that a Dragon's weakness being Water, because in Ice's place, as it could change things up a little bit.

Dang it, I got it wrong.

I think a type change to fighting would make sense. As dragons are weak to ice which is water (ground types fighting are weak) or psychic because of fairies (which is usually fighting)

@StefWillemse

They might come back as dragon type with dragon energy

@hagrid397

They'd probably be all different types depending on the pokemon

Would be cool if it was a colorless with the dragon symbol, but I know that wouldn't go over well. Alternatively an aurora/rainbow symbol would be cool as well since they typically have a variety of types of energy for their attacks
