I built giant planters around the back window & it's so pretty to look out the window! •I hate the rental counters, so bought removeable contact vinyl and covered them (2 rolls at $8.50 each). •found a tall metal shelf, cut in half and made tops that fit around the sink, so that we can have a teeny counterspace •not allowed to put anything in the wall (nails, etc.), but the tv is wall-mounted--so built a "wall" with a counter and pull out shelf where the cable box can sit

Permanent house I completely renovated (almost done after 7 years). But I have a cargo van I am redoing to make my comfort space because I spend a lot of time away from the house. To feel comfortable I need a place to draw, listen to music, read and nap.

Whether you rent or own, we all want to feel good and enjoy where we call home. Especially considering it is what we are looking at on a day to day basis. This is me enjoying the home I created and how I made it my own. It also feels good knowing that wherever I go I can create and make a place my own. How have you made your home your own? What do you enjoy having and looking at on a day to day basis?
