Martial law can be good or bad depends on the point of view of the people. But in my own opinion, martial law is good actually :) As a fellow Filipino. I have seen the tiniest of the incident, since, our president had opened the Martial law. Everyday, we would go through a tent called a (Checkpoint) buses would be crawling with soldiers, examining and interviweing the people and the driver. Heck, some of the soldiers would demand to open our bags to examine. After that, we would pack our bags and go. The night without martial law is always lit for parties and gang fights. But since (Duterte-president) legalized it. The streets would be crawling for police. When the clock hits 9 in the evening no one is allowed to go outside, either getting arested or getting fined by the police if you go outside after the clock hits 9.

Because while I know the actions he did were sometimes intentionally bad (like executing his political enemies) some were intentionally good (like irrigation, the national highway, etc.). Meanwhile others just consquenses of his actions that he didn't intend (the soldiers raping and killing innocent people in Manila: abuse of Martial Law). By the way, and this is based on what I know, he only declared Martial Law because of the Red Scare plus several other stuff like protests. Now of course he then used it to kill his enemies and then the soldiers abused it as well. Still not sure why only Manila was attacked while the provinces were mostly fine. Probably because most of the soldiers and Marcos's political enemies were in Manila. And by Manila, I mean Metropolitan Manila/Metro Manila/NCR. Also, I was thinking your video on Philippine history was lacking. I watched the video at school and I was thinking: "Why is it happily ever after?", "What about Martial Law?" etc. Apparently you were making a part two. Why didn't you write that it was a Part 1? Anyways, keep making great videos! 😉

However, You should research Abit about martial law's effect when Ferdinand Marcos allowed it, but he still did alot of things both Good and Bad

Some of this comments are going to be said Good because of your videos. But the real is both, he did the Martial Law that is sometimes bad for people causing it to have protests.
