More often than not you notice things you wouldn’t understand on a first watch through and you appreciate it more. But for old (usually childhood) favourites you may lose your nostalgia blindness on a repeat watch through and pick up on more of its flaws.

Rewatched avatar the last airbender on netflix last year and I enjoyed it more than when I was a kid. I feel like I understood more of the themed and messages now that I'm older.

Really liked devil is a part timer back in the day but when I tried to rewatch it recently it just felt like it was trying too hard to be funny... i should have left it in my teenage memories

Naruto it was pain seeing how much of a hypocrite he was and how bad the female writing was but it still holds a special place in my heart

A lot of the time I liked more because I noticed details that I didn’t see before

I think most people wont re-watch it unless they liked it the first time.

I liked Gurren Lagann less on my rewatch when I realised how misogynistic Kamina was... And the space part was just less enjoyable than the desert part. But it's still a good show, I just didn't see its flaws as a kid
