One year ago we went to NY for a show and had a night off. The song "Nightfalls" had been recorded there earlier in the year so we felt like it would be nice if we shot the video there as well. We had the idea for a continuous-shot video of Kate just walking towards the camera and performing the song, so we went to Chinatown for dinner and tried a couple of takes after all the stores closed down. It was about 30 degrees at night, and we did something like 4 takes holding an Osmo mobile with an iPhone on one hand, an LED light bar on the other, a bluetooth speaker and just walking backwards for the whole duration of the song, trying the impossible feat of keeping things lighted and in frame all while trying not to trip on a trash can or get run-over by a taxi. We ultimately decided to re-do the whole thing “properly” (which is the official video) but this version holds a special place in our heart so we thought we’d share it with you. ❤️ xxx Ed & Kate
