Dr. Todd Grande

I received a number of requests for a video on the relationship between psychopathic traits, the police, and heroism based on two articles on the subject that were published in 2018. The video is ready and will be published Wednesday at 7:00 AM EST. I hope you enjoy it and thank you for your support!

Psychopathy has always interested me and I often end up looking for information about it online so I'm really glad you're making more videos on it!

Perfect timing for my research project on Darryl Gates (it is a dramatic project where I imagine him as a pwASPD). Thank you for all the excellent content.

@katiegrothcd

your videos are amazing!! I’m a senior in college and working on some pretty extensive research papers on psychopathy and the etiology of antisocial behaviors and your videos are helping bring light to a very under-researched area! Thank you so much!

Hi Dr. Grande, would you be able to cover the Dynamics of the "communal" sociopath sometime? Having someone in my family who has always been a people pleaser, but is a subtely abusive sociopath, nonetheless, I thought it might be helpful to others, as it has to me, to see this creature unmasked.

Love your channel. I suggest an episode on PDD (dysthymia). With and without a MDD. Would enjoy to be on your channel.

Doc, I am a bit older than you and actually only started counseling back in 2010. I spent 20 years as a state police officer after I finished my bachelors and then went back over time to finish my masters and PhD. I counsel Christian couples and law enforcement officers that are having troubles with their profession or personal lives. It has come to my attention here lately that there seem to be a great deal more men that need help going through the divorce process. Having a background in law enforcement I’m am some what knowledgeable with the way our judicial system works in this area and it’s comes down to one specific problem. The law doesn’t instruct attorneys or lawyers or those that become judges on the specifics of narcissistic behavior or any other psychological issues for that matter and it’s a fast growing problem in this country. It has long since been the general catharsis that the female gets pretty much what they want by just sheer ignorance of the judicial system and the falsely accusing claims made by the wife of physical, mental, verbal, and even faith based abuse. The judges seem to go off of a play list and it’s causing many of the husbands/fathers I counsel to go off the deep end. I have tried with little success to get the state involved in the curriculum they teach in law school to include at lest some basic classes on psychology and sociology but as I said they seem very slow to even comment on the subject much less affect a plausible change that I believe would shift their thinking from the other end of the spectrum of scale to find some middle ground that benefits both sides and especially the children if any are involved. I just wanted to say this to you and see if you had any comments on the subject. Thank you, Jamie Brown Ph.D LCSW

Doc: I super enjoy your channel! Isn't there such a thing as just being born evil? I'm certainly no expert, but I think so! Stay safe and well!!!
