I mean, it kind of depends on the map/level. If you consider the game concept itself a rythm game you are wrong as it is a sides rolling platform game. But if you consider individual levels to be rythm oriented, featuring synchronization with music and whatnot, then yes that level makes GD a rythm game. I think the main levels are partially rythm oriented, and some creator levels, like the levels inspired by Nine Circles, such as sonic wave and down bass, are 100% rythm games. I think the vague freedom is one of the highlights of GD. There are entire games inside of a game that features a cube jumping around, entire communities and fanbases around certain genres of levels. Edit: The maps featured in your spectacular videos are rythm levels. some people are just wierd and want whatever they say to be fact, when there clearly are exceptions. Just bc some creator levels aren't rythm based does not mean the game can't be a rythm based game.

I'd say it definitely isn't, but then this.presents an interesting question, what exactly is a rhythm game? If Geometry Dash counts as a rhythm game, does Mad Dead Rat? Or Crypt of the Necrodancer?

I do not think gd is a rhythm game, but I like that it gets involved because most tome it syncs anyway.

Well i like to see gd in ur videos... The thing is that the community is forgotten by everyone... So it's cool to see gd being recognized pls keep up the good work and ignore these people, I think they don't like the game!

Hola, algo de español uwu Geometry Dash es un juego de plataforma y aventura donde la mucica es un complemento para que el fondo y la velocidad de los niveles sean variados (aunque todos se inspiran y queran casi iguales XD) El juego es de ritmo?, depende del creador, hay niveles como Bloth bath donde solo va al ritmo la velocidad (donde hay drop va rápido, donde no, no tanto) y otros como Bellocq donde va completamente a ritmo uwu

A game that I think is a rhythm game, it's possible any game with a song and press that goes with the music, even if it doesn't look like the game you think or doesn't belong in the category.
