Hi everyone! Some bad news.
I just got an email from Youtube saying that my channel was demonetized for "duplication". They gave me a very vague explanation of what duplication actually means but they seem to think that I have uploaded copyrighted material without permission. I have been very careful to have permission for anything that was copyrighted but they won't allow me to send proof of it.
I was able to talk to the support but they couldn't help me at all and now the even turned off that function for me.
I'm not sure how to continue from this point. I've been uploading videos for almost 5 years and really loved doing this for you but if I can't monetize the videos it will be difficult to justify putting all this time into it.
I will be able to re-apply for the monetize function to be turned on again in 30 days and I will do so and see what happens but it's looking pretty grim at this point. I'll let you know what's going on when I know something new.
