MSFS is much better for GA in my experience (source: flown Citabria and C172 irl) thanks to the overall "experience" made up of the lighting, water and scenery, although it needs a bit more work for the physics on some aircraft. The physics are miles better than FSX, but there are a few issues that will hopefully be ironed out soon. It is early days after all. XP is outdated, runs worse than MSFS on any of my systems and has no real room to grow. It's a dead-end platform with little future without a major rewrite, MSFS is the future imo, unless XP12 really steps it up (competition would be great). Hopefully MSFS fixes the physics issues on some aircraft (stock aircraft do need a bit of work in some places), it is early days after all, and as more aircraft get released the platform will continuing improving thanks to the much more modern code and upcoming switch to DX12.
