MrMobile [Michael Fisher]

I'm taking a week off from "When Phones Were Fun" so I can cover a few modern releases (and wait for a few old phones to come in from eBay).

When it comes back, which episode would you like to see more: a retrospective on the era of Nextel walkie-talkie phones, or a roundup of QWERTY messaging dumbphones circa 2008?

Did anyone else have a sony Xperia Play? That was my first smartphone. It was weird and fun. It was like a slider with a Playstation controller instead of a keyboard

@outofstock22

Xperia play was probably the last mainstream "fun" phone

Hey Mr. Stark. Sorry, off topic. Are there any smart rings you would recommend? I remember you doing a video a while back on one or two of them wondered if you still used any of them.

Can I just say, this is honestly one of the best series I have ever seen on YouTube when it comes to phones. There are SO many unique design choices to cover from over the years. It seems like an almost endless supply of trying-to-be-innovative products are out there to be reviewed and I cannot wait to see where this show heads in the future! Maybe one day you could open up a P.O. Box for us viewers to send in our own unique phones to be reviewed and put on display in your office or something :P

I think a "When Phones WEREN'T fun" would be a good idea, for things like the HTC First, the Fire Phone, or the Microsoft KIN.

Yass! I've been hoping you'd talk about the Nokia 6820! It was my first step away from traditional cellphones back in the day. I got my hopes up after seeing it in your intro a while back and can't stop hoping! Also hoping to see the HTC Tilt/Tilt 2 and the Playstation Phone! Two of my dearest phones that immediately preceded the step into 'smartphones'. Great work! Can't wait to see more!

Messaging phones. The ways they crammed full keyboards on those tiny little dumb phones were pretty impressive and I love them.

How about “swivel phones” like the Kyocera Koi and the Samsung Juke?

I voted for the messaging phone option, though I still want to see the Nextel show. My old boss had one and man, he and his pals could not stop radioing each other. His antics were part of why I didn't own a cell phone until the late 00s.

Messaging phones were HUGE in Thailand in 2008. Would really want to see your take on these.

Those late era dumbphones that were teetering on being smartphones were a fun era for phones, LG EnV Touch comes to mind

My first phone was the Nextel i95. I still remember my walkie talkie number too.
