Hellu everybody! Jazzy here with a few announcements to make. If you could take a few minutes reading this, it would be greatly appreciated! :)
First off, thank you so much for showing your support during these past few months. If you've seen my video regarding my new gaming channel (youtube.com/channel/UCU7R...) and checked that out, you'll know that I won't be as active in this channel anymore, due to things that have been going on my life. I may appear out of nowhere here and there, but at the moment, I am aiming to focus more on my career and video game content for the future.
Speaking of my career and future gaming content, I want to build a community that spreads nothing but love and cheer. I understand that 2020 has been extremely life-changing for us all. For me, I graduated community college in June, and almost everywhere that I loved going to was closed due to the pandemic. I also learned that things don't truly come easy, and that I have to work hard to get to where I want to be... But of course, there are obstacles to face and hardships yet to arrive. Example, ever since my parents broke up, my dad left, and my sister and I stayed with our mom, who had a very hard time paying for bills and rent. Thankfully, my grandparents and uncle moved in to help us out. I also pitched in some money I earned from work, although it wasn't much. My job eventually had to close due to the ordered lockdown... So I was basically stuck at home, each and every day, relying on earning money from unemployment benefits. (Yet to this day, it's still not enough. My mom still has to struggle and I only have some to offer. I feel guilty about it, but I'm really trying my best to support her.)
The whole year, I've had no school, no work, and that was when I started thinking... What if I became a streamer? I mean I love playing video games, so surely there's content that is yet to be made. And so I started getting my shit together and I created a new YouTube channel, solely for gaming content! I also made a Twitch account, different social medias... I sought other streamers online, just to get to know how they run things, how to talk during stream, and how to talk to new people. Then I found a Twitch streamer who caught my attention the most-- @ChristalRaine . She taught me to not be afraid and just do what I love. I've been following her for almost a whole year and I've seen how much her channel has grown. It's amazing! What's even better was I got to play with Christal and some people from the community, it was really fun. I would definitely talk and play with them again. :) They all made me feel appreciated in a way, and they're very friendly, too.
I was hit with a lot of emotion when these things started occurring. A lot has happened in 2020, both good and bad. It made me realize what I truly wanted in life, and that was to do something I love. I'm still trying to figure everything out, but making this new gaming channel, streaming live, meeting new people online is a great start.
I was also thinking about editing other people's videos, so that I can earn a few money here and there, to save money for myself and money to support my mom with rent.
