Chief, you are providing top quality free educational content. People who are particularly inconvenienced by ads likely already have youtube premium/an adblocker, but that’s a youtube issue. Absolutely nobody with a brain would fault you, the creator, for putting ads.

Just enable monetization. Youtube is going to profit from your videos either way so you might as well get a cut.

you make some of the best educational videos man you definitely deserve some of the pay from ads, youtube is greedy and will do whatever means more money in their pockets, they dont give a damn about the content creators

I use premium so can't see ads, but just as someone said already here just enable monetization and you can donate the proceeds to a cause. It's very noble of you not to focus on money, love your content. Keep it up!

If you get money I can watch full. Quality content deserve money.

I subscribed even though I've never seen any of your content before. The whole concept of "But why? " is intriguing to me. I'm looking forward to seeing watcha got!

I pay for Premium. I have not seen ads. And I sincerely hope you get a nice cut of what I pay to YouTube every month. You do great work!

Only recently found your channel, and so far the videos have been pretty nice, if you want ads, go for it, so long as there isn't an absurd amount of them, I'll happily continue to view your content

YouTube is even allowed to put midroll ads on. On a different channel that I manage I've had multiple complaints of 5+ ads showing up in 12 minute videos. I do live off of that channel so I run midroll ads but I always check for them to not be excessive. At first I thought I made a mistake but after multiple comments on different videos and me checking the monitization it became clear it is in fact YouTube running these extra ads. Granted, I do not know if YouTube puts on midroll ads for non monetized channels as they almost always negatively influence the videos average watchtime and I could see that leading to backlash from channels with no monitization.

Premium User here as well. No ads for me. Found your channel yesterday… and was binge watching the black hole content right away.

I have Premium. So I'll never see an ad while supporting content creators in a small way.

Went and tested straight away and got an advert. Personally, it doesn't bother me. You put a lot of time and work into your videos and I benefit greatly from them. If you receive some remuneration for your work that allows you to keep going or even invest in what you're doing, so be it.

I know sometimes money is not the main motivation for something we do, but your videos are great quality so and money always helps. If you can get some monetary reciprocity from what your are doing, I say: go for it! You deserve it. Thank you for sharing your ideas and knowledge

Hey man, your animations are amazing, and I'll willingly watch unskipable ads if it means you post more, so please monetize!

I'm pretty sure youtube put out that they would be putting ads on even the non-monetized channels going forward. Disappointed seeing it happen as they are the main game in town, but most businesses go this way once they squash their competition.

I just saw an ad as I voted that I haven't, also appreciate the fact that you give us information without interruptions for no financial reasons although you deserve it

But Why?
It has been brought to my attention that YouTube may have put ads in front of some of my videos. I have not enabled monetization nor wanted ads on my videos. I didn't start this channel for any financial reason. However, I do know YT changed their Terms of Service like a year ago granting them permission to put ads on any video regardless of monetization.
I would like to make sure this is true. Please let me know.
