Most would think actors like Grace Kelly, Clare Greet, or James Stewart were the most constant image in Hitchcock's films, but it actually seems to be Hitchcock himself. The film director owned the cameo crown, making short appearances in 39 of his own films.

Although most of his cameos were nothing but a mere appearance, the only film where he speaks in is The Wrong Man (1956). A traditional appearance was replaced with a narration as an introduction.
