Learning to Ollie isn't easy. Until you've learned to ride a board very comfortably you can't "feel" the board. It feels more like you're standing on this weirdly shaped piece of wood with wheels bolted to it. You don't feel the curves of the board and you can't quite get your legs and feet to feel comfortable or move correctly. Skaters will know what I'm talking about. Then gradually it begins to feel so natural and good, like walking barefoot on soft carpet. Then that Ollie becomes so natural it's like the board is magnetically attracted to your feet rather than you trying to bounce a chunk of wood off the ground and slide your foot up sandpaper
