Every viewer potentially sees different ads. Some of us see none at all. It can depend on time, place, place according to VPN and number and type of ads already viewed. YouTube has a paid ad free option (which are half the ads I seem to get) if they bother you that much.

The people who own the content, the comedians or the shows, can place an ad on a video without the uploader of that videos okay.

No, he means that even though the channel is not monetized, the copyright owner of the videos can still claim and monetize them through his channel without him getting anything in return.

I can sometimes receive THREE ads in a TWO MINUTE clip! Of course...it's the greedy artlessness which makes art suddenly less artful... i always come back, but on days when YouTube or its ugly, inner machinations is being particularly money hungry...i switch off for a day or two :) Ads ARE essential for creative survival in a World where one starves without cash...though...there's obviously way too much blossoming greed here... Trying to find some kind of humane, human reality in a world half filled with scam artists and misappropriators of truth is bad enough without the recent flood of commercialistic gluttony.

Ovid
Some are complaining about ads. I have no control over these ads. They are placed by the owner not me. Ovid channel is not monetised.
