I started playing piano when I was 4, so I ain't no chump. I'm a musician by ear, and I learned to sight read but always tried to get out of it. My teacher put wrong notes on sheet music on purpose to see if I was reading or playing by memory haha. I play mainly guitar and write lots of compatible guitar parts. I'd be down to send you some riffs you could mess around on. I'm not trying to be a musician and I never try to make music with people online, but I think my acoustic riffing style could potentially match with your soulful style better than an electronic beat! I wouldn't expect any credit, and you could find better technical musicians than me easily, so I'm not bragging but my whole life people have told me my guitar songs are super awesome and that I'm crazy for not pursuing it... Anyway I've talked to you on your show, you might remember me...

Don't worry about the engagement as much as the sick songs! As long as you're getting better and better you're inching closer to your goal. Many musicians were discovered in their 30s and 40s! And they had more time to get good and find their style instead of being pushed around by a huge label.

God is with you, brother. You are correct about not listening to your thoughts, of course. You are trying to work your way into the music world that is dominated by sin, evil, and spoils. You need to focus your attention on neutral parts of it, like commercial jingles, or country or even Christian radio. The pop and mass music world only will promote music and artists that degenerate people, not promote wholesomenes. Realize the forces you are battling, what they want to be accepted, and work around it. TV commercials, radio, YouTube commercials all need music.

You are before the Lord. It takes time to grow deep roots. When you have deep roots, you can’t be shaken or moved. That’s what I see. The Lord is doing a work in you. The difficult thing is most people want to see your vulnerability or hear love songs and that’s probably not where you’re at right now. I don’t know. It really shouldn’t be all about that, there are so many different aspects of life. I’m a songwriter. I’m not as experienced or as multitalented as you. You got pipes, play keyboards, produce, etc. They tell me not to write songs about my kids. Guess what? I’m writing songs about my kids. Based on what I see, you’re keeping it real which is the most important thing. I’ll keep sharing even in my limited ways. God bless you brother.

As a fellow musician, i can relate totally to the vibe your posting . i just played the Whiskey a go-go in Hollywood last Sunday and it streamed live on Facebook. i invited some folks and it was weird playing in front of no audience but that’s temporary and we had fun ! Being present in the moment is what it’s all about brother ! we are called the BB Allstars if ya wanna check us out dude . i dig your music brother ! i didn’t see the challenge for the remix for the song “ buzzed.” I came up with some cool chords and improv over your singing . Maybe we could jam one day ..?. Anyways , ☮️ brother

Hey all. Just wanna say thanks to all who have been a friend and supportive of my music/content, encouraging me. It’s been a long road and as time goes by, more and more people’s attention spans are getting shorter and shorter, there is always something or someone else out there to give your attention to.
I don’t wish for fame or fortune or anything worldly like that but I do hope to expand my audience and music family I can share what I make with. These days it seems like making good music is just not enough! Lol I’m searching to find creative ways to connect with people. I’m forever grateful that I get to do what I love and i’m able to make music and deliver something people can enjoy listening to. Like most, I have hopes to reach higher levels in my career so I can access more creative freedom and more people to share with.
I’ve been dropping one song a month and will continue to do so! Man, the music part seems so easy compared to all the other stuff involved like marketing, promotion, keeping up engagement on social media and replying to everyone who reaches out to me.
Anyways, sometimes those seductive thoughts of worrying about the future, thinking of the past etc feeling overwhelmed try extra hard to bring me down but i’m aware that they are just thoughts and not real. I know things always work out at the end of the day and getting in my head about anything just robs me of the present moment and of my peace. It’s sometimes frustrating putting all my efforts into my work and then fully not being able get it out there in the world for people to even know about. It doesn’t matter what I make, nobody cares until everybody cares and that’s just the way it is.
I’m gonna just keep pushing. I have no other choice and life goes on no matter what! Maybe someone will read this and get where i’m coming from. I hope to gain some more momentum with people and hit on something that can make an impact. Again, thanks for your support and for sharing what I make. 🤙🏻🙏
