I just received a community guideline strike on my channel as a result of a website I used to shorten a URL in a video description from a video I made 6 YEARS AGO. The site I used had been purchased by a different company and the URLs lead to an adult ad.
I can’t upload anything for a week, and ultimately could affect how my videos rank in search via the YouTube algorithm.
As you can see towards the end (when I received the strike), YT is not recommending my content as often as a result.
